The food was OK, but when they served us the biriyani, it was absolutely disgusting. Also, the restaurant was in a atrocious condition.

Food very tasty BUT state of restaurant pretty disgusting. Owner spends time on phone rather than with guests. Tables aren't cleared when people leave leading to fly infestation. Cutlery, glasses, crockery not cleaned properly; owner flicks dry food with fingernail. Menus covered in food dregs. Don't get me started on the state of toilet. In other words everything that's basic to running a restaurant is missing. Where is the Health Department?

This will be my third or fourth time ordering delivery from Taj Palace. Their food is delicious and delivery service great (eatnow), I'd definitely recommend. I'm also vegan and have found that they're really educated with what is and isn't vegan and they've multiple dishes and sides to chose from. You'd have no issues eating in with fellow omnis, there's plenty to chose from!

Here you'll find the best Indian food in Tasmania. Their food is really authentic and full of flavour. If you get the chance, pop in here at lunchtime during the week when it's a bit quieter and try their Chicken Vindaloo. People sometimes complain about their children coming out and crying or playing around the dining area but you have to remember that this is their family business and also their home. Focus on the brilliant food and not the small imperfections. It's definitely one of the best places you can go if you love good food.
