Beautiful lawns with some gardens. A lot of shade! Perfect for a picnic and let the kids run when in Salamanca (though if your a tourist walk up to the other end of Salamanca and around a little bit, there is a big park and I believe a playground somewhere there as well). If you have ever wanted to catch of Tasmanian politicians, great place to hang out. However if thats not really your cup of tea, which its not most peoples thing I am sure, still a nice shady area

Open one day a year, it does get busy but well worth the time. The gardens are world class.
