The Architectural Design is actually based upon King Soloman's Temple and is my favourite building in Hobart. Gives one a preview of what the new Temple will look like when it is eventually rebuilt in Jerusalem...hopefully sooner rather than later.

Australia's oldest continuous synagogue. Opened in 1845. A real jem, both in an architecture sense and certainly historically. Most interesting.

Go to one of the free tours offered. Learn the history of the building and the people who built it and continue to use it.
