Choose an adjective (awesome, outstanding, superb, etc.) and that will accurately describe everything about this place. The staff, the information, the convenience, the ease...all of it. This is also the place where most (all?) of organized trips and tours depart, so the centralized location of this place is another top characteristic.
I often drop in to pick up brochures, maps etc for my visiting friends & family. I don't understand why the free Mt Wellington Park Walks & Information maps are not out on display. One has to queue up for these as they are kept under the counter. I wonder how many visitors bypass the Mt Wellington Walking Trails as they are unaware of this useful and essential printed information? Not everyone has the time or inclination to wait in queues behind folks who are booking paid tours etc. Other than that the staff are very courteous and helpful.
