Be careful! This firm called us after an initial email enquiry to them. We asked if they could represent us if we required at a hearing. At this point we aren't even sure if they can handle our case. A bit like calling to ask an electrician could you quote our extension wiring job please after explaining some of the requirements. Alex called us and at no time did he say at the beginning of the phone call our during it, or at the end, there was a fee for speaking initially on the phone, as if they had of disclosed a fee, we would ended the call by saying thank you but no thank you as it is wasting money for no purpose. We have just received an email tax invoice account for $369.00 with a list of letters they said they typed up etc etc and preparation. It's really silly and bad practice. We haven't given any authorisation to type up letters or act for us whatsoever, nor did we send the paperwork in the mail for them to read over. They really have jumped the gun as they say. They don't know the matter entirely, the cost's involved, so why type up letters and say they sent them. Now they say they haven't sent them! You ask a solicitor in hope they can help, but in the crisis that has been going on for 5 months, they add to the stress levels and upset things further. This could of ruined the case for us as we gave no permission to do anything or send anything. We emailed a letter to say we don't need your assistance being in Hobart and our case is Launceston by instruction from The Magistrates Court Tasmania. We've reported this to the Ombudsman.

Worst law firm in Hobart. Won't lift a finger until you cash them up. Require a $500 deposit before they do anything, and then payment for each court appearance or they won't appear/represent you any further.
Poor service. Very rude and unprofessional staff. Please dont waste your money by choosing this legal firm. Its very expensive and you wont get what you pay for it. If you want to get best service search for other legal firm. It was a complete waste of time and money for me
By far the absolute worst legal practice you could use in the greater Hobart area. They dealt with my Mother's estate and two partners of the practice were executors. The Partners of the practice I had dealings with were rude, belligerent, biased, and ignorant. They did not reply to emails, they behaved unprofessionally, the written tone of their documentation was rude and at times toxic, and they ignored requests to hand over basic information that beneficiaries are entitled to, such as a documented list of their costs. I had my own independent senior legal practitioner advising me, from another legal practice, she was appalled to see how they administered the estate.If you have planned to have your will and estate handled by this legal practice, I would definitely recommend that you spend your money wisely and go elsewhere, in my experience with this practice there are no professional standards here, no courtesy and definitely no respect from senior staff.
