The chips were great and they have a bottle of tomato sauce you can use. I think the vinegar was watered down, is that normal? We saw Sammy the seal.
Be careful with the oysters here, we ordered a dozen and only had four of them, 50/50 chance they are off. After a bit observation, I think I have found out why: the kitchen fridge was left wide open ALL THE TIME, and on a hot summer day, seafood can go bad in no time. Fish was OK, limited options on the menu though. This is a prime location for a restaurant in Hobart, please dont take business for granted.
Malt vinegar and choice of regular and chicken salt at tables is a nice touch. Had the "fish feast, " which was all cooked (as far as I'm concerned) perfectly with a good serving of chips. 1 star off for a 25 minute wait on a single serve and $1 extra for extra tartare sauce , otherwise prices are reasonable given the serving size and location

I used to come here as a kid with my mum, these last two weeks were my first time back in Tasmania in 10 years (moved to Perth) and to my surprise Mako was still going strong! I decided to go in and get a fish and chips feed and it's just as I remember it, delicious batter and crispy chips. Well done guys!
