A wonderful place to visit that is educational and fun! Definitely one of my top 5 hidden gems in Hobart and a must see if you want to immerse yourself in Tasmanian history and culture!
A very well laid out small museum with a lot of information and models. The displays are very interesting. The price of admission is very good value. Would recommend it for anyone with an interest in Tasmania's maritime past.
Really enjoyed discovering this little museum! Plus, the man at the counter was really friendly and offered a discount rate to both of us!The museum has a very interesting collection of miniature ships, replicas and remaining items from shipwrecks! It was really fascinating to discover some stories about Tasmanian waters. Definitely something to do while in Hobart :)
