Lovely evening apart from one issue, you might want to teach staff not to look at a customer's phone while she's pouring water.... Luckily I was only googling something we were talking about but if it was a private message I wouldn't have let it slide so easily.
Food was fantastic, came relatively quickly, and service in general, was attentive and friendly, except for the greeter at the front who was a bit unfriendly on arrival, because we were underdressed (we spent $300 on the dinner for three people). Other than that the restaurant interior was atmospheric and had a historic flavour, set in the old IXL jam factory. Took one star off for portions on the smaller side and the rude waiter at the front. Strongly recommend ordering more dishes if you are hungry since portions are pretty small.
It is a nice restaurant houses in a historical building. Very friendly staff and absolutely amazing food. We order grilled baby octopus and chicken liver parfait, was totally blown away by the quality of the food. There are also a good selection of wine and sparkling to go with your food choice. It is really reasonablly priced too, for what you get. And of course, you should make a reservation if you plan to have dinner here, especially on a weekend evening!
Excellent food, friendly attentive service and lovely atmosphere. Very relaxed and even so with kids. Ordered a kids meal and the fish came out like a regular adults meal - a nice white barramundi fillet (I think) and grilled, with chips. It was the nicest kids meal the kids have eaten. Would definitely come back again. Location also very good!
We were visiting from Melbourne and this restaurant had been recommended to us so expectations were high. Glad to say it didn't disappoint- enthusiastic waiters, delicious food and a trendy setting. We were seated opposite the kitchen and were impressed by the efficiency and finesse. The food was creative and delicious showcasing local produce and flavors.
