Excellent service and accommodating chef. As a vego ina steak house I figured I would have slim pickings. The risotto was brilliant.

I accidentally saw this restaurant while having early night walk and tried the 40 day aged steak in bone. The meat is tender and the steak is cooked in my liking. The service is excellent however the rockwall wagyu porterhouse coffee rub steak is still the best steak I ever eaten in Hobart.
I ordered the fried olives and beef cheek, both were tasty! The olives were stuffed with feta cheese and had a delicious green chimichurri-like green sauce to go with it. The beef was a small dish but felt like an entree. It came with mashed potatoes with a hint of horseradish sauce and a nice gravy. The beef needed no knife, it was so tender probably cooked for hours and topped with a nice parmeggiano cheese. Overall delicious local ingredients, nice ambience and excellent service.
One of the rare places left in Hobart that you can get dressed up for dinner. Fine dining and a classy atmosphere keeps this restaurant as our favourite choice. The meals are top quality and the service is excellent.
