Amazing food. Super generous sizing. Great vegetarian options. Staff are wonderfully friendly.
This is a pretty decent bar in the centre of Hobart with a range of craft beers on tap and good selection of spirits and wines. Up-market pub meals in the restaurant with a good specials board or out back for something more causal. Live music some nights.
We stayed in the hostel. Decent room with clean towels each day. Little bar fridge in the room and sink. Checking in wasnt an easy task but we received a two for one drinks voucher on arrival. The place feels quite dated and old but the pub downstairs is very nice and new.
Hotel is at center of the city Hobart. Average hotel, good for one night stay...very small room. If you are taking private double room, it's very tiny room and has common shared toilet and bathroom...
Experience in the grill >>> Pros: friendly & outgoing bar staff. Cons: very underwhelming scotch fillet steaks (asked for rare and got well done) as well as being served cold, and presented with industrial grade coleslaw. Price would have been appropriate for fine dining, not for pub quality food with no table service. Also had to shout across the table in order to talk over the music. Outside area would definitely be more appropriately used as a beer garden/entertaining area.
