We came to Hobart for a 4 day break, first time in Tasmania and we would recommend this motel to anyone visiting Tasmania. Our room was spotless and comfortable, the staff were warm and friendly. Definitely be coming back!!
The staff at this question you know part of the most attentive hotel staff saying and I stayed in the Hilton in New York state is my show towels in Singapore London Paris Hawaii Afghanistan Kiwait Los Angeles Hawaii South Africa Scotland Island Timor-Leste day Thailand Cambodia and Vietnam, When I arrive the best Western Hobart I feel like Im coming home thats your 10 if the staff are they always make the extra effort and then got something are usually manage to find in 10 minutes you know that the drive down the road to get it
Booked it due to loyalty program and location. Wasn't as close to the harbor as I would have liked. Very efficient staff, good parking option and comforltable sleeping rooms.
Bitterly disappointed. Wanting to arrange to have dinner at 6 30pm on 5/1/19 but was explained that they may be busy so would we push it back 15 minutes, fine . Once we got our table the large room had one table of about 10 or so and about 8 tables of 2,3 and one with 4 people on it. Once again the young waiter explained that it may take a while to take our order,fine.By the time he got back to us he apologized again and offered a complimentary drink,fine. We both decide to have a trio of oysters as the entree and just a pizza,this however wasn't too be. After a short time the waiter comes out with one entree explaining they had run out of oysters. They seemed to think it would be ok to just send out one serving,by this time my attitude was changing no matter how many times they would say sorry. That left me believing that the unprofessional waiter's and kitchen staff do not communicate with each other.At this stage of our dinner we just wanted to eat and retire but unfortunately when the pizza arrives the waiter says he would bring some plates ,so we waited and waited and waited, I got up and got them myself. What really rubbed salt into the wound was when he came back to ask how things were l could not help but to let him know it was cold because we had to wait for the plates . I put it to the management that they seriously need to train both kitchen staff and waiters to be on the same page,training is everything and the people on your shop front was clearly out of their comfort zone. No amount of apologies means anything if they don't improve from their mishaps.
We were very impressed. We were greeted by a genuinely welcoming lady at the front desk. They helped with tour booking, information on where to eat and booking transportation. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble- we'd certainly stay here again. Love a hotel where staff are friendly and approachable!
